This could be what causes me to get a new system. I have been wanting to play HL2 since it came out but never had a computer that could play it. If I could play it and all the others on a 400 dollar system that would be great.

Look at the last picture and focus on the pipes. You can see the same pattern of paing chipping right next to itself on the horizontal pipe and the two vertical ones near the character ave the same pattern as each other too.

Besides of course that no separate socket or die is used. It seems like you are making a big deal out of a meaningless distinction. Especially meaningless since dual processor systems, which you call dual cpu systems seem to be slower than dual core systems, which have 2 cores (or CPUs you could say)on the same die. I think a better way of looking at these two systems is that the x360 has 3 general purpose CPUs (call them what you will) While the PS3 has one with 7 SPUs.
For Nintendo yes, but to the customer it really just means that the wii is by far the worst deal of the next gen consoles. It may be "worth it" but you are getting less hardware for your dollar for sure.

It seems to me that the PS2 crowd generally is younger than the xbox crowd. At least that is true as far as the people I know. While it is true that many xbox owners know nothing but halo, it seems like the majority of PS2 owners know nothing but Madden. These statements are of course generalities, but it's what I see.

Not that I am a huge fan of the way Sony is handling this generation, but, why don't you guys comment on the article and ignore him? he will go away if you do and within a few months everyone will see if you were right or The mart was.
It may be useless as Gates has said, but that won't stop people from using it as a "my console is better than yours because..." argumemt. And that, I think, is why microsoft is adding it. And why not? No real loss, just another feature/gimmick, whatever your view is. But it does take away a bullet point from Sony's unique feature list. MS did it with the hi-def playback feature too. Just trying to get people to ask really what does the PS3 offer that the 360 doesn't.
I think that "actual adults" do enjoy both of those games. For me Smash Brothers is one of the best games ever. I can't remember another game that I had so much fun playing with three other people. Actual mature adults can enjoy these types of games without feeling that they need to be playing some more gratuitous game in order to be cool or mature.
I doubt that the PS3 is cabaple of such emotion as desiring anything. So the PS3 may be desirable but it isn't desirous.
Got me excited cause it seemed a bit like Deus Ex to me, which I think is a great game. heavy roleplaying and character development/creation wrapped in an FPS shell.

was a great game in my opinion, and one that came very early in the gamecubes cycle. With a more powerful system and a much more powerful engine I think that they will come through very well.
